Favorite Interior Decor Item of the Week: Doors

They just don't have 'em like they used to. This can be said for houses, furniture, and even doors. So why not include some of those old fashioned, beautiful doors in your home decor? In this post we will show you 6 ways you can use doors in your interior decorating.

Headboard/Footboard

You can use a door set horizontal or use two doors placed vertically next to each other. There are a lot of tutorials online of how to make an entire bed with a headboard and footboard, or you can connect the door to the wall itself to serve as a pretty headboard.

Accent Feature

For an accent feature two large doors placed vertically side by side on the wall will make for a beautiful feature wall. There are a wide variety of doors to choose from, some of my particular favorites for this project are barn doors, large antique doors, architectural doors with beautiful glass and panes, arched doors, copper doors. The accent should serve as a showstopping feature so find really interesting and unique doors.
