Favorite Decor Item of the Week: Glass Decor

Glass is a great way to decorate any space, jars and canisters for cotton balls in the guest bathroom, small vases on a table or mantel shelf, a large statement piece in the entry way. Glass can be incorporated in multiple ways and fits in with any decor scheme: modern, farmhouse, and traditional all have a place for glass.

There are many ways to incorporate glass into your decor, and many are pretty budget friendly.

Large Hand Blown Vases

These can have a hefty price tag on them, but nothing brings sophistication to a space like a large glass blown vase. Adding one of these art pieces to an entryway, stairwell or fireplace hearth adds a touch of elegance as long as you don’t have pets or children to break into into a million expensive pieces. Check out the great pieces on etsy.

Glass Bowls

Intricate glass bowls can really spruce up a centerpiece and serve as a gorgeous place to store fruit or candy.

Empty Liquor Bottles

There are some really pretty liquor bottles out there (my particular favorites are Clase Azul Tequila, and Grand Mayan Tequila). Clean these up, remove the stopper inside and you can use them as a vase, simple decor on a shelf, or add in some fairy lights for a nice piece.

Antique Jars and Bottles

Antique stores and estate sales hold the mother load for antique glassware.

Recycled Bottles

Jars and bottles of all sorts can be re-purposed into decor, candle votives, vases and more. Anything from Jam to Juice bottles can be recycled in your home.
